As of July 2, 2018 fines have almost doubled. Minor offenses such as unpaid meter fines have gone from $25 per month to $40 per month. Cars that aren’t moved for street cleaning are fined $90 now. Before July 2, 2018, the fine was just $40. With the increases in parking fines, street parking becomes a major deterrent. We have all received a parking ticket once in our driving history. Unfortunately, if you do not pay your parking ticket in a timely manner it may prohibit you from renewing your license. What a bummer! That one parking ticket you received three years ago on your street, during street cleaning may in fact have you riding the local bus in the future. Once a parking ticket accrues a certain amount of fees, over a certain period of time, you may find yourself owing hundreds of dollars on a forty dollar ticket. Even worse, your license may get suspended in addition to the payment you owe.

Boston is a beautiful, prestigious and charming city. Draped with skyscrapers, the best in higher education, gorgeous luxury high rise condos and apartments, dynamic colonial homes, and lush walkways surrounding out state’s capitol, Boston is one of the finest cities on East Coast. With this being said, luxury comes at a cost, a pretty high cost. When looking to purchase property, Boston is a great place to invest. Unfortunately, if you are not prepared to spend more than $1 Million, you can forget about living in Boston Proper… unless you are willing to invest in a parking space.

Winter is approaching, so inevitably there will be snow, and because we are in New England we can bank on at least one Nor’easter pummeling into our communities. Snow plow trucks are a gift and a curse to us New Englanders. Snow plows are wonderful because they can clear a whole block of snow in minutes, unfortunately, many times the snow is cleared off of the street and onto your car. There is nothing worse than walking outside to your vehicle and not recognizing it at all because it’s covered with snow….thanks to the plow trucks!
